I believe that it is possible to live a life of chivalry in todays ‘dog eat dog’ world. I also believe that the path of Knighthood is a spiritual path of faith, discipline and virtue.
Knights of the past
Looking for what chivalry and knighthood is we need to look into the past where it originated. There are three main sources for us to draw upon. History, Religious texts and the romances. The Knights of old are lost in the mists of time. But still the ideal lingers on, it will not be denied.
The Knights of old, the knights of romance call out for us to follow in their footsteps and bring chivalry into the 21st century.
Knights in the present
There are many Knights out there in our present day. Unsung heroes. heroic Firefighters, Just and true Police officers, Guardian Angels and many more. There are people living up to the old codes and doing heroic deeds.
On this web site we aspire to join the ranks of these heroes and to tell their stories!
Future Knight
The ideal of knighthood is so powerful that it projects into our visions of the future. In Epic tales of the future we constantly recreate the ideals of chivalry. We see them embodied in Jedi Knights and Starfleet captains these are the romances of our times and our hope for a better, more chivalrous future.
